Music has always been the center of Italian luxury footwear and fashion designer Giuseppe Zanotti’s innovative creations.
Zanotti described shoes as “fantastic wild animals.”
They need respect and love and every season you need to change the recipe and make it super contemporary,” he said.
Knowing Rita Ora she’ll always go for her blinged-out looks and somehow manages to surprise us with her stylish, yet risky outfits. Her iconic and eccentric style made us ecstatic when she announced that she will be collaborating with the renowned Italian designer, Giuseppe Zanotti, to create a shoe collection.
And these shoes show off the exact style of the singer – glamorous, effortless and cool.
Yes, you got me right!
Giuseppe Zanotti is at it again, with plans to release yet another celebrity collaboration, this time with Rita Ora.
The sultry collection of footwear melds the platinum-selling singer’s inimitable style with Giuseppe’s signature flair.
When asked in an interview, this soft-spoken designer cheekily admits that he likes to dance. Lately, he’s been rocking out to Ora’s songs “Girls” and “For You” during his design breaks. “They’re very beautiful songs,” he said.
The capsule, which launched in January, includes stiletto heels, over-the-knee boots, and slides, all with gold Cuban-link accents inspired by the “Let You Love Me” singer’s maximalist style. (“I love wearing loads of jewelry at inappropriate places, like the beach,” she says.)
Ora, who’s currently gearing up for a tour after releasing her album Phoenix in November, had one key mandate: Everything had to be comfortable. Ora has a sneaker collection of over 500 pairs strong and often judges shoes based on her ability to dance and run in them.
“Eventually,” she says, “I would love to do a pair of sneakers with [Zanotti].”
The designer is open to the idea: “When you work with somebody, you write a chapter. This was chapter one. We finished a chapter, but not the book.”
Giuseppe for Rita Ora capsule collection includes the $895 Bonnie sandals, the $995 Cathy stilettos, the $1,995 Elinor knee-high boots and the $795 Bowie flat slippers.
Bonnie sandal is the blend of street style, Italian craftsmanship, and feminine power. Made from transparent vinyl with the toe in black patent leather, they are set on the iconic “Chain” chrome heel. Bowie flats are crafted from black patent leather.
They are adorned with a gold metal “chain” embellishment, defining an element of the collection. Made from luxurious black patent leather, Cathy sandals fasten with a thin ankle strap and have a leather logo-adorned sole, the perfect intersection of Giuseppe Zanotti. The prices shoes in the collection, Elinor knee-high boots are created from black suede and made with a practical internal plateau. They feature a cut-out ankle and are set on the iconic “Chain” chrome heel.
Afterall shoes should make you feel confident. It can be a stiletto heel or a pair of biker boots, it doesn’t matter. It is the attitude which counts.
"One of my favorite styles of jewelry is the Cuban Link, which also happens to be Giuseppe's key statement, so it made sense to include it in our collaboration," Ora told WWD earlier this month when the collaboration was announced. "It's just a mirror of my own personal jewelry collection."
Seems like this year is gonna be a busy one for Ora, who was also recently unveiled as a new brand ambassador for the fashion label Escada.
