Netflix March 2019 Entertainment Tv and Movies News

What’s In Store For Us On Netflix For March 2019?

And sadly these are the ones leaving us…...

Now that awards season is finally over, it’s time to switch your focus from film to its longer-form paramour, television.

Spring might be right around the corner, but it’s still bone-chillingly cold outside — ugh. That means that for better or worse, you can put your big outdoor plans on the back burner for another few weeks and continue to waste away on the couch, watching Netflix.

There’s a ton of primo content hitting the platform in March — in other words, plenty of entertainment options to choose from while waiting out the long winter.

Among the most exciting premieres, this month are the long-awaited fifth season of fan-favorite, Arrested Development, the third season of a smash hit, Queer Eye and a bevy of original films spanning every genre from the biopic, to action and everything in between. Classics like The Notebook and Apollo 13 will also become available for your viewing pleasure.

And as per usual, we’ll have to say goodbye to some great stuff, too. Right at the start of the month, Pearl Harbor, The Breakfast Club, and The Cider House Rules will no longer be available on Netflix. So, get your fill of these nostalgic favorites while you still can!

Okay, okay. I’m all done with my cheesy jokes. Thanks for tuning in for your monthly Netflix updates. We’ll be back next month before you know it! Time isn’t moving more quickly! We’re not freaking out! Spring get here faster!  Ah!

Be well and enjoy your month.  Keep on keeping on.

The Notebook

If you're looking for a sappy love story this month, this is the film for you. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams play star-crossed lovers, well, we're already crying (available March 1).

Wet Hot American Summer

Wet Hot is a modern comedy classic. The jokes are layered, frequent and rewarding to subsequent viewings. The flick helped to launch the careers of many comedy and film titans alike, such as Bradley Cooper, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, and Michael Ian Black and a dozen more familiar faces. Loaded with plenty of cameos and surprises, Wet Hot American Summer is a raunchy, confident and stoic sigil to the comedy gods.

The Order

Doubt hit its ten-year mark and it’s still a striking cinematic experience. All the main actors in the movie were nominated for Oscars, and the story is one for the ages: a nun (Meryl Streep) at a Catholic school is convinced the head priest (Philip Seymour Hoffman) is sexually abusing a young student. Viola Davis turns in a stellar acting performance as the young student’s mother. Amy Adams provides the necessary foil as the trustworthy and cautious Sister James. Doubt is a tour de force experience that must not be missed. Watch it on March 7.

After Life

Ricky Gervais plays his hilariously crass self in a dramedy about a man struggling to cope with the death of his wife. Releasing March 8.

Triple Frontier

In this Netflix original, five former U.S. soldiers set out on a heist targeting a South American drug lord, but, of course, things don't go as planned. Ben Affleck, Charlie Hunnam, Predo Pascal, Oscar Isaac Garett Hedlund, and Adria Arjona round out the A-list cast. (available March 13).

A Separation
Burn Out
Dry Martina
If I Hadn't Met You
Kung Fu Hustle

Arrested Development: Season 5B

Surprise! The Bluths are still a hot mess! And we can't wait to watch their latest shenanigans (available March 15).

Queer Eye: Season 3

Queer Eye is easily one of my favorite shows of 2018. The first season was perfect, and the second season was amazing as well. And now this…

The Fab Five take on the city of Kansas City, Missouri to change the lives of another group of locals. Get your tissues ready (available March 15)!

Turn Up Charlie on Netflix March 15!

Idris Elba stars as a struggling DJ (not to be confused with IRL Elba, who DJ'd the event of the century: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's wedding) moonlighting as a nanny to his famous friend's 11-year-old daughter. I mean, they had me at "Idris Elba" but I'm always down for a good manny sub-plot.

Love, Death & Robots

….yeah. Watch the trailer. This looks absolutely bonkers. It’s like getting the most pleasant version of the Ludovico technique before our dry eyes. I’m getting ‘Animatrix’vibes, with a pinch of Cronenberg, topped off with a heaping dose of sci-fi a la Dune. Each episode comprises several short stories and vignettes that fall under horror, adventure, and fantasy. Should be a little something here for everybody. Enjoy this series when it airs on March 15!

March 16
Green Door

March 19
Amy Schumer Growing

The Dirt

Based on the band's collective autobiographical account of their meteoric rise, this adaptation brings the story of Mötley Crüe, one of rock's most notorious acts, to life (available March 22). It stars Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones), Douglas Booth (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies), rapper Machine Gun Kelly, and Pete Davidson.
