When did you first begin singing?
When I was a little girl I remember being chosen for the solo in my school and church choir as well my summer camp I attended.
What were some of the first songs you would practice?
All of Celine dion’s, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, Alanis Morrissette, Jewel, Whitney Houston and the list goes on. I literally would memorize every song on the radio I remember my friends mom told me I was like a jukebox lol.
Who is in your support system?
My family are my biggest fans. My mom is my #1 of course.
Tell us about the first paid photoshoot you had.
It was for a boutique I was so excited because I had just started building my portfolio and was an honor to have some think I was good enough to make it.
Where has your talent taken you thus far?
Further than I could have imagined, I’m in Los Angeles 7 years after moving here and have accomplished so much within the industry, modeling, music, acting to even producing and directing myself. I’m excited for what the future holds I’m just getting started.
I just said recently I traveled more when I first moved to Los Angeles. These days I have so much going on here that I love to be here working, I feel like when I leave it throws me out of the groove lol so for now I only travel if I’m going home to see the family or if I’m booked for work.
What is some of the inspiration for your songs?
Definitely the experience I go through and also society. Sometimes I’ll just be in the moment or other times I get inspired by what others go through, it just really depends.
And tell us about your favorite ones.
“Three Things” is my most favorite because it’s from my heart and i think it’s relatable to a lot of people.
Do you have a boyfriend or are you just having fun?
I’m single I’m actually practicing abstinence right now. I’m reading this book called “the purpose driven life” it’s very uplifting and spiritual. I wanted to give up things that are tempting to me and or that no longer seem as special to me as they should, so focusing on me and honing my energy is how I feel, I’m on a special journey right now. Some call me crazy lol others support it. Either way I’m doing what’s best for me and I feel amazing.
What sorts of things can we expect to see from you in 2017?
Much more…I have a few more features with Playboy coming out I also have four other songs and videos that I’ll be releasing, as well as my guest star debut in a show launching on NBC network, I just found out today a few days before my Volo glam release that my first Leading movie formally known as “Sunny and RayRay” was just picked up and re-named as “Broken love” and will be out with distribution sooon! I’m super excited about that, stay tuned I have tons of other projects in the works but I’ll keep you up-to-date on on my Instagram and website.
